Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal information PRO INSPECTION & CONSULTING INC. collects through this website, why we collect it, how it is used and how it is protected.
Last updated:
Information we collect
We collect only the information you choose to provide through the request form on this website. That includes your name, email address, phone number, the property address, the company or organization name if you provide one, the service and property type you select, your preferred contact method and the details you write in the message field.
We do not require you to create an account, and we do not ask for payment information through this website.
How we use your information
The information you submit is used to respond to your request: to understand the concern you have described, to contact you about it, to determine the appropriate inspection or assessment service, and to arrange a site visit if one is required.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it to send marketing communications unless you have separately asked us to.
Sharing your information
Your information is accessible to the members of our team involved in responding to your request. We may also share information with service providers that operate parts of our infrastructure on our behalf — for example website hosting or email delivery — strictly to the extent needed to provide those services.
We may disclose information where we are required to do so by law, or where it is necessary to establish, exercise or defend a legal claim.
Where your information is processed
Our website hosting and email are provided by suppliers who may process or store data on servers located outside your province or outside Canada. Where that is the case, the information may be subject to the laws of the country in which it is held, including lawful access requests by authorities in that country.
The advertising measurement described below is operated by Google, which processes data internationally.
Retention
We retain request submissions for as long as needed to respond to the request and to maintain a record of the work that followed from it, together with any period we are required to keep records for legal, insurance or professional reasons. When information is no longer required for those purposes, it is deleted or anonymized.
If you ask us to delete your request and no such obligation applies, we will do so.
Security
The whole website is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection, and the request form is transmitted over that same encrypted channel. Submissions are delivered directly to our mailbox — this website does not keep a database of enquiries, so there is no store of visitor information on the web server to be breached.
Access to the mailbox is limited to the members of our team who handle enquiries. The form is also protected against automated abuse by rate limiting and spam filtering.
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information submitted through this website against loss, unauthorized access, disclosure or alteration. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Cookies and advertising
This website sets no advertising cookie until you allow it. On your first visit a banner asks whether you accept advertising cookies, and the advertising tag stays switched off — in Google's terms, consent defaults to denied — unless and until you accept.
If you accept, we use the Google tag (gtag.js) from Google Ads to measure the results of our advertising — for example, to know that a visitor who clicked one of our ads went on to submit a request. Google may set cookies in your browser for this purpose and may combine that information with data it already holds.
This measurement never identifies you personally to us: we see aggregated reporting on how our ads perform, not a record of your individual browsing.
You can change your answer at any time using the “Cookie preferences” link in the footer, block cookies through your browser settings, and opt out of personalized Google advertising through Google's own ad settings.
If any further measurement or advertising tool is added in the future, this policy will be updated and your consent asked again before it is enabled.
Your choices and rights
You may ask us to confirm what personal information we hold about you, to obtain a copy of it, to correct it if it is inaccurate, or to delete it where we are not required to keep it. You may also withdraw a consent you previously gave.
To make such a request, contact us using the details published on this website. We will respond within a reasonable period, and we may need to verify your identity first so that we do not disclose your information to someone else.
Withdrawing your consent to be contacted may mean we can no longer provide the service you asked about, but it will never affect work already carried out.
If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your request, you may raise the matter with the privacy regulator having jurisdiction over your situation — in Canada, that is generally the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
