Our services

Environmental Inspection, Testing & Consulting Services

Six service areas covering asbestos, mould, hazardous materials, air monitoring, indoor air quality and environmental consulting — for buildings of every type and projects at every stage.

Asbestos Inspection & Testing

Asbestos-containing materials remain common in buildings constructed or renovated before modern restrictions, and they can be disturbed by even minor work. We carry out asbestos inspections and bulk material sampling to identify suspect materials, document their location and condition, and coordinate laboratory analysis so that renovation and demolition work can be planned around verified information rather than assumptions.

What this includes

  • Asbestos inspections
  • Bulk material sampling
  • Pre-renovation assessments
  • Pre-demolition assessments
  • Laboratory coordination
  • Detailed asbestos reporting

Mould & Moisture Assessment

Visible mould is usually a symptom rather than the problem itself. Our mould assessments combine a visual inspection with moisture investigation to locate the water source behind the growth, supported by air and surface sampling where it helps characterize the situation. Once remediation is complete, we can return for post-remediation verification so the work can be closed out on documented conditions.

What this includes

  • Mould inspections
  • Air sampling
  • Surface sampling
  • Moisture investigations
  • Water-damage assessments
  • Post-remediation verification

Hazardous Materials Assessment

Older buildings frequently contain more than one designated substance, and each has its own handling implications. We conduct hazardous materials assessments covering the substances most often present in building materials and equipment, with sampling and laboratory analysis as required, so that a project team has a single consolidated picture of what is present before work begins.

What this includes

  • Asbestos
  • Lead
  • Silica
  • PCBs
  • Mercury
  • Other potentially hazardous building materials

Air Monitoring & Clearance Testing

During abatement and remediation work, air monitoring provides an objective record of conditions inside and around the work area. We perform asbestos air monitoring and occupational exposure monitoring while work is underway, then carry out the final visual inspection and post-abatement air testing needed to support a clearance assessment before an area is returned to normal use.

What this includes

  • Asbestos air monitoring
  • Occupational exposure monitoring
  • Final visual inspections
  • Post-abatement air testing
  • Clearance assessments

Indoor Air Quality (IAQ)

Complaints about indoor air are often difficult to resolve without measurement. Our indoor air quality testing combines a building walkthrough with instrument readings and sampling to characterize what is actually in the air — particulate and dust levels, carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide, volatile organic compounds — and to relate those findings to the building's ventilation, occupancy and construction activity.

What this includes

  • Indoor air quality investigations
  • Particulate monitoring
  • Dust monitoring
  • CO / CO₂ testing
  • VOC assessments
  • Environmental air-quality evaluations

Environmental Consulting & Project Monitoring

Beyond individual inspections, we support projects from planning through close-out. That includes developing a scope of work based on assessment findings, monitoring abatement and remediation activities as they progress, preparing the technical documentation a project file requires, and advising owners and project teams as conditions evolve on site.

What this includes

  • Abatement project monitoring
  • Remediation monitoring
  • Scope-of-work development
  • Technical documentation
  • Inspection reports
  • Environmental consulting
